The whole space is surrounded by native bushland and meandering pathways.Īrchitecture throughout the property is modern and minimalist, with industrial-chic common interiors that blend bare brick with hefty exposed beams, handsome, lodge-style leather furniture in rich earth tones, and rugs in cowhide or Navajo prints. After checking in, guests can either drive themselves or be escorted via golf carts to the terra cotta-hued Adobe casitas that house the rooms. A head-turning scenic drive to a secluded area northwest of Sedona brings guests to a manned security gate, where the property begins. It's really sad because the initial impression was just so off that I don't know if I would stay here again, despite the beautiful location. The Enchantment Resort lives up to its name with a spectacular red-rock backdrop and 70 private acres that may very well be some of the region’s most impressive scenery. I did have a meal by the pool and their service and food was much better and kinder than the welcome staff. I instead explored Sedona and went hiking off property. How do you get here? What's over there? Because of this, I chose not to get a spa treatment and give more money. It's a large property and I had never been there, so later I had to keep asking my way along. Then I noticed that everyone else received a tour of the clubhouse, and I had to wait a long time and was taken straight to my room without a tour. (I scheduled a last minute 1 night trip from Phoenix as a birthday / R&R retreat for myself.) Then when I went to the check-in area, the guy asked me 4 times if I was alone, and "if I was sure" that I was alone. Then he double checked and agreed to let me on property. When I arrived the gate agent said something about how I wasn't supposed to be there. I could have stayed 5 and not had time to enjoy it all. The food and drinks at all restaurants and bars is outstanding. You can hike to the nearby vortex (.5 miles) or hike 2.5 miles along the rock wall at the base of Boynton Canyon. Oh and did I mention butterflies, hummingbirds and deer are abundant at Enchantment and Mii Amo. The Mii Amo Spa is most such a memorable experience with the morning ritual, chanting session, Navajo flute players, indoor pool, steam room, sauna and so much more available to Enchantment guests even without a spa reservation. We even went to the Mesa airport viewing area at sunset and it paled in comparison to the views at Enchantment. I checked out many others for this specific reason. You will not get a better up close view at any other resort or hotel in the area. The views are truly incredible and visible from almost everywhere on property. Yes, it is hot but there is a nice breeze in the canyon and the pool and drinks are most refreshing (especially the prickly pear margarita). This resort is so relaxing, you will not want to leave. We stayed in casita 271 for 4 nights and had the most enjoyable experience. I could have stayed 5 and not had time to enjoy.
